Zanus AI Corporation texts a customer about his own booking only, and only after the customer gave his mobile number and agreed to texts. This page shows the words used at each of the three places a customer can agree.
When a customer books with our assistant and gives a mobile number, the assistant says, before the number is used:
"Zanus AI Corporation will text this number about your booking: the confirmation code, the confirmation and a reminder. Message and data rates may apply; reply STOP at any time to stop the texts. Is that all right?"
The booking is saved with the consent only after the customer says yes. A customer who says no books with an e-mail address instead or confirms by an automated call.
The booking page the customer opens from our confirmation e-mail shows this box beside the mobile number field, unchecked, and does not accept the booking without it:
A team member who takes a booking at the desk or on the phone asks the same question and ticks the same box on the booking before it is saved.

The chat when the assistant asks for the consent (open the sample):

The four-digit code that confirms a booking request, the confirmation, a reminder, a waitlist offer when a place opens, and replies to texts the customer sent. No marketing. Every text names Zanus AI Corporation; the first carries "Reply STOP to opt out".
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Mobile numbers are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
